A gay man claims he was left battered by Trump supporters celebrating the presidency win.
Chris Ball, a film producer told Metro News he was watching the election coverage in a bar with friends and after Donald Trump was declared the new President-elect, drunks began shouting: "We got a new president you f***ing f****ts."
In a Facebook post, that has since been shared more than 4,000 times, his friend wrote alongside a very GRAPHIC photo
"To celebrate Trump's win last night, some Trump supporters decided to smash a beer bottle into my close friend's head last night for being gay, sending him to the ER."It's a shame to think any social progression in that manner is being completely lost at an alarming rate.And it's not Trump that I fear, it's his supporters that have already resorted to violence, just because of the energy they feed off of him. I hope this is not what our future truly looks like."I hope that our country will realize we are (or at least should be) a nation indivisible."Now, more than ever, it should not be about the politics, it should be about human equality. Who cares what the guy behind the podium says, don't smash a beer bottle in someone's face."
Chris has since assured friends he is fine, writing on Facebook: "Thank you everyone for the support and good vibes. Just wanted to say I'm alive and well. And still very gay."
