Rasheed Gbadamosi, Former Minister and PPPRA Ex-Chairman Dies at 72

73-year-old former Minister of National Planning, Rasheed Gbadamosi, who reportedly suffered multiple strokes last year, has passed away.
The ex-minister’s death was confirmed on social media by the Lagos state commissioner for information, Steve Ayorinde.
“The Lagos State Government mourns the passing of a leading industrialist, art patron, former minister and co-chairman of the [email protected], Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi,” Ayorinde said.
"LASG mourns the passing of a leading industrialist, art patron, former minister and Co-Chairman of Lagos@50, Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi, 72."
He added that: “Chief Gbadamosi will be remembered for being a true Lagosian, a nationalist and an art aficionado”.
According to Ayorinde, the remains of the former chairman, Petroleum Products Prices Regulatory Agency (PPPRA) would be interred Thursday afternoon.
The deceased, a playwright and economist, served as the Commissioner for Establishment and Economic Development in Lagos State. He was recently appointed co-chairman of the Lagos at 50 celebrations planning committee alongside Wole Soyinka, a Nobel laureate.
