13-year old Indian rape victim dies 3-days after birth

The13-year-old girl, who was allegedly raped by her father's colleague, is currently mourning the death of her baby 3 days after delivery despite court order stating the pregnancy should be terminated. 
The 13-year old was 32 weeks pregnant at the time of the court order,which is beyond India's 20-week legal limit for pregnancy terminations where there us danger to the life of the mother or the baby. 

Due to the traumatic incident leading to the pregnancy, the Indian supreme court ordered that the victim be allowed to terminate the pregnancy. However, some doctors took a call to save the foetus by performing a caesarean section.  SHARE THIS NEWS
