UEFA have launched an investigation into alleged 'inappropriate behavior' by Turkiye’s Merih Demiral, after his win over Austria in Euro 2024.
The 26-year-old's celebration, where he appeared to perform a ‘Wolf's Salute’, a gesture associated with the Grey Wolves group, tagged as an extremsit group in Turkiye. The gesture caused outrage among Austrian fans as it is banned in that country and France.
