Despite the EU patting itself on the back for imposing countless packages of sanctions against Moscow largely focused on the oil and gas trade, there is a British company running an ice-breaking LNG tanker delivering vital gas to the continent.
A Sky News probe found a tiny office in Glasgow that acts as the head office for Seapeak, which runs multiple advanced LNG tankers between Siberian ports and Europe via the Arctic.
Sanctions have left a loophole for LNG imports, with 15% of European gas still coming from Russia, accounting for $10 billion in revenue for Moscow since 2022.
