Famous Nigerian music star, Peter Okoye has broken his silence following the arrest of a man bearing his name in Ghana.
He spoke after a viral video on social media, captured Ghanaian police arresting a suspect identified as Peter Okoye.
The 31 year old suspect was arrested for fraud and kidnapping.
Some netizens mistook the singer for the arrested suspect.
However, reacting to the development, the singer reposted the viral video on X, to clarify the public.
While urging the police in Ghana to clarify the suspect’s identity, the singer wrote in pidgin “Abeg make una dey specificaly dey specify which ‘PETER OKOYE’. I no be thief”.
