Dapo Abiodun, the Ogun State Governor, made a notable cultural statement on Sunday by attending the Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu Ode clad in traditional Yoruba attire.
In a video on his official X handle, the Governor was seen wearing a flowing Dansiki and a matching Yoruba cap, exuding elegance and pride as he moved with grace through the festivities.
Alongside the video, Abiodun extended his greetings to the Awujale and the people of Ijebu Ode, congratulating them on this year’s celebration of the iconic cultural event.
He wrote: "We are getting set as we step out to join our people in celebrating this year’s Ojúde Ọba Festival — a timeless tradition that showcases the rich cultural heritage, unity, and pride of Ijebuland.
"As always, we look forward to honouring our revered monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, GCON and celebrating with the good people of Ijebuland in grand style."
