They Don’t Care Whether They Win Or Lose – Boniface Slams Super Eagles Teammates
The striker said that his national teammates must show a little more seriousness while on international duty and must acknowledge the fact that it is a privilege to represent Nigeria.
Germany-based Nigerian forward, Victor Boniface, has claimed that some Super Eagles players show little concern about winning or losing when representing the national team.
The striker said that his national teammates must show a little more seriousness while on international duty and must acknowledge the fact that it is a privilege to represent Nigeria.
The Bayer Leverkusen striker noted that there are millions of people waiting to grab such an opportunity to play for Nigeria.
Boniface told The Culture League podcast, “If some of my teammates are going to the national team, they feel like, we go, we play, whether we win or lose, it doesn’t matter.
“I am always trying to say to them, we are millions in Nigeria. I think in Africa, we have the highest population.”
Boniface was eager to move to Saudi Arabia this summer but it was reported that the deal collapsed along the line.
The 24-year-old will now remain at the Bundesliga side, a club he contributed to the winning of the Bundesliga title in the 2023-24 season.
