The appointment followed the appointment of the former minister, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, as National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, who announced this in a statement on Tuesday, said the appointment is, however, subject to confirmation by the upper legislative chamber, the Senate.
