Nigerian singer, Timi Dakolo has fired back at critics after publicly commending Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) officers for their tireless work throughout the festive season.
Dakolo had shared a post commending the officers, saying they had been working round the clock in December and deserved applause for their efforts.
However, the praise did not sit well with one social media user, who dismissed it as unnecessary and likened it to “clapping for a fish for swimming.”
Reacting to the comment, Dakolo fired back, telling the critic to keep quiet and questioning whether they understood what it meant to work round the clock.
He added that people who do demanding jobs deserve to be applauded when they do well.
