An autopsy has revealed the cause of de.ath for late Nigerian singer Destiny Boy.

The Police Homicide Section carried out the examination, and the results were released last week, according to Daily Trust.
Police spokesperson DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi confirmed the findings.
The autopsy indicated that the singer’s body contained toxic levels of tramadol and its metabolites, as well as methamphetamine.
The report concluded that his de.ath was caused by “aspiration pneumonitis resulting from the ingestion of these toxic substances.”
The official statement read: “The Consultant Anatomic Pathologist reported that toxicology results revealed harmful levels of tramadol and its metabolites, as well as methamphetamine, and opined that the cause of death was aspiration pneumonitis resulting from the ingestion of these toxic substances, with the date of death being 17/01/2026.”
