Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has a popular saying which goes like this: *“If it’s not broken, why mend it?”.* The governor has always been a firm believer in this principle which isn't tied to party affiliations. Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu has demonstrated her strong capacity to deliver democratic dividends to her constituency. This is the basis of why Awka North and South constituents support and endorse her for a second term.

However, I wish to move beyond slogans and sentiments while relying on factual data. This is because in Awka North and South, the story is not just being told; it is being *lived*.

In just *three years*, Prof. Orogbu has redefined what effective representation looks like and not with noise or empty rhetoric but with visible, measurable and life-changing impact across every corner of the constituency.

A drive through Isiagu and you will see the *ongoing construction of a Police Station* driven by a commitment to strengthening community security. A visit to *Ogechukwu Street in Awka* stands as a testament to purposeful infrastructure alongside the *Ezinkwa–Mgbakwu Road* which has improved connectivity and commerce. At Amansea, the access road to *Holy Family Youth Village* is no longer a dream but a reality. Across all 20 communities,*solar streetlights* now illuminate roads and lives which extends productivity and enhances safety.

At *Ifite Isuaniocha, a 500KVA transformer* hums with promise while restoring power and possibility. In *Ugbene* , a fully built *community hall* was constructed with a *fence, gate, generator house and a solar-powered borehole* which serves as a hub of unity and development. Clean water now flows in *Ebenebe* and *Isiagu* through newly constructed boreholes in her humane bid to touching lives in the most fundamental way.

It is trite that the most powerful investments are those made in the future(education). As Benjamin Franklin rightly noted, *“an investment in knowledge pays the best interest,”* and in the words of Nelson Mandela, *“education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”*

At *Community Secondary School Achalla*, *six new classroom blocks* rise as monuments of hope. Across the constituency which spans from *Ezi-Awka to Agulu Awka, Ikwodiauku to Mbaukwu, Okpuno to Ebenebe, Mgbakwu to Amanuke, Ugbenu to Urum* ; classrooms have been reconstructed and furnished in a bid to transforming learning environments for countless children. Instructional materials have also been widely distributed while ensuring that learning is not hindered by lack/dearth of facilities.

Let us also further reflect on Prof. Orogbu’s humane gestures which speaks directly to opportunity and underscores her commitment to human capacity development and education. It is on record that *170 indigent students* had their JAMB fees paid for the 2024 UME. *Thirty-four* of the brightest minds that were selected from each ward have been further uplifted through a dedicated scholarship scheme. This is not charity, it is *strategic investment in human capital*.

In agriculture which is the backbone of many families, fertilizers have been distributed and *11,000 palm seedlings* provided across *20 communities* with the goal of planting not just trees but long-term economic stability.

In human capital development, the numbers tell a compelling story of compassion and empowerment. It is a known and verifiable fact that *400 widows received ₦50,000 each*. Additionally, *200 widows* were empowered with *grinding and sewing machines*. Furthermore, *500 constituents* were trained in *poultry, piggery, fish farming, skin and home care* with resources provided to help them start immediately. Notably,*100 youths* were trained in *ICT* and equipped with *laptops* which was structured in a bid to positioning them for relevance in a digital world.

Beyond training, real *employment opportunities* have also been secured for many constituents in various federal government agencies.

It is indeed commendable that despite all these achievements,*Prof. Orogbu* did not stop there. In times of economic strain,*8,000 bags of rice* were distributed across *all 34 wards* which was aimed at putting food on tables and providing relief to families.*Commercial drivers received free fuel* support to cushion the harsh realities of rising costs. Elderly citizens were enrolled in the *National Health Insurance Scheme* which was a calculated effort aimed at restoring dignity through access to healthcare. Displaced petty traders were not left behind as they received *₦50,000 to ₦100,000* to rebuild their livelihoods.

Prof Oby Lilian Orogbu is not called *“Madam Projects”* for nothing. Her dedication and commitment to her constituents reflects the heart of gold she possesses while reiterating her unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people of Awka North and South.

This is not politics as usual, this is representation with a heartbeat.

So again, I repeat while relying on the above factual evidence that Awka North/South needs no replacement.

A wise man once said that when leadership works, you don’t gamble with it. When impact is visible, you don’t interrupt it. When a representative delivers across infrastructure, education, agriculture, empowerment and welfare all within just *three years* ; you don’t experiment with uncertainty.

You consolidate progress as expected of any rational mind. *Prof. Oby Lilian Orogbu* is not just serving, she is *transforming*. This forms the bedrock of why the majority of the good people of Awka North and South already know that the job is not finished and the right hands are already on the wheel.

Let us all join hands in support as she continues to deliver the true dividends of democracy to her constituency.
