Arise TV anchor, Oseni Rufai struggled to hold back tears while recounting the de.ath of Musa Uba, who was k!lled in a terrorist ambush in Borno State in November 2025.
Speaking during a live broadcast, Rufai revisited the heartbreaking details of the incident, admitting the memory still deeply affects him.
He explained that the senior military officer had reportedly sent a desperate message after his unit came under intense attack during an operation.
“Dr Abati, I feel like crying. General Uba was in the bush. He had low battery and made a message saying ‘please come and save me.’”
Rufai said the appeal for rescue came at a critical moment, but assistance did not arrive before the attackers reached him.
“The next thing we heard was that the bandits caught him and k!lled him. Remember how General Uba’s wife cried that we let General Uba down,”
The late officer served as Commander of the 25 Task Force Brigade in Damboa, Borno State.
