After years of living separate lives, things are finally becoming official for American TV personality, fashion designer Kimora Lee Simmons and Tim Leissner.
Tim quietly filed for divorce, signalling the formal end of their long-standing but already distant relationship. While the paperwork sticks to the standard “irreconcilable differences,” it leaves out one detail: the exact date they split, marking it as still to be determined.
But this isn’t a sudden breakup. The two have reportedly been estranged since at least March 2022, and sources say the process of separating has actually been dragging on behind the scenes for close to six years. In other words, this filing is less of a shock and more of a final stamp on something that’s been unfolding for a while.
Together, they share an 11-year-old son, Wolfe. In the divorce filing, Tim is asking for joint custody, both legal and physical and is also seeking spousal support.
According to TMZ, their marriage, which began in March 2014, wasn’t without complications. At one point, Tim admitted in court that he had falsified documents related to his previous marriage to Judy Chan so he could marry Kimora.
Now, after years of distance and a long, quiet separation, the relationship is finally being brought to a legal close.
