Bukky Wright, a seasoned Nollywood actress, has sparked controversy with her frank opinions about men who lament that women in partnerships only seek money.
In an interview, the actress made the case that a man should naturally take care of the woman he is dating without being asked.
She emphasised that the woman should be someone he is happy and willing to spend money on, and that it is a man's duty to recognise that his woman needs to dress and look good, even if it is ultimately for his own pride.
Reacting to men who describe women as gold diggers, Wright said she strongly disagrees with the label, arguing that there is nothing wrong with a woman expecting nothing less than the best from a partner, and that she would never advise any woman to settle for less.
Asked whether men without the financial means to meet such expectations should simply avoid dating, the actress responded that such men should either not date at all or should date within their means.
