Davido has raised alarm over the delay in publishing results from Saturday’s Osun State governorship election on the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) Result Viewing Portal (IReV).

The singer questioned why no results had appeared on the portal as of 2:33 p.m., urging INEC to be transparent with voters and provide prompt updates on the election's outcome.
Davido also called on voters to stay at their polling units until their results were uploaded to IReV. He urged them to monitor the figures entered on the electronic EC8A result form and ensure they accurately reflected the results announced at their polling units.
He said:
“INEC, it is now 2:33 p.m., yet no result has been uploaded to the IReV portal. What is the delay? Nigerians deserve transparency and timely updates,” he wrote.Africans & Diaspora
“Make sure your polling unit results are uploaded on IReV in your presence, and make sure the figures are entered on eEC8A (electronic EC8A). We will follow our votes bumper to bumper!” he added.
“Don’t leave your polling unit until it is being uploaded on the IReV; protect your vote now.”
Davido later wrote, “Because we are winning. They want to withdraw the police and military! MR PRESIDENT TINUBU! UR KILLING DEMOCRACY”
