After facing backlash over her excited reaction at Kamo State’s movie premiere last Sunday, actress Funmi Awelewa has explained why she was so happy to support him, recalling the kindness and support he showed her during one of the most difficult periods of her life.
According to the actress, her excitement came from a personal place. She recalled how Kamo stood by her during a difficult period in her life when she was dealing with heartbreak and sadness.Acting & Theater
In a post she shared, she said:
“I could remember that year that I suffered a major heartbreak and I became sad, Kamo stayed by me, as you all know I am a loner and his younger sister was cooking noodles for me, infact Kamo vacated his house for me.
“Kamo state is such a kind and pleasant guy to me, more reason why I was overexcited seeing him progressing because I truly know what he has passed through.
“I saw people insulting me just because they saw the way I was screaming at his movie premiere last Sunday.
“Thou I don’t care because Kamo is a good younger brother that loves supporting everyone around him, I will do it over and over again.
“Pls let all come out to support Kamo state most especially we the ibadan indigen, he needs our support now.
“STARLOMO is a great movie that you all we love it”.
