“Women don’t distract me” – Pete Edochie reveals secret to 57-year marriage

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has spoken about his 57-year marriage, explaining some of the things that have helped him remain committed to his wife.
Edochie spoke in Accra, Ghana, during his Legacy Gala, after he was asked about staying married for so many years.
The actor said he married young and has never been easily distracted by other women. He also pointed to his Christian faith and the way he keeps himself occupied when he is at home.
He said:
“I married early. I’ve been married for 57 years. It is difficult to keep, and I don’t get distracted easily. And that’s one of the biggest blessings I have. I’m a very big Christian. Yeah. I’m a big Christian, and women don’t distract me. I’m just being honest with you. It doesn’t mean I’m a wonderful man. Most of the time I’m inside the house, I’m playing classical music, or I’m reading some material. I’m always very busy doing one thing or the other. Don’t ask me that kind of question again.”
