A mother and her schoolboy son posed for a haunting selfie aboard the doomed Malaysia Airlines jet.They were travelling to Kuala Lumpur on a trip aimed at single parents and their children.

Gary Slok, 15, took the touching picture with his mum Petra as they settled into their seats while flight MH17 prepared to take off.
