Spanish Supreme Court drops ‘terrorism’ case against Catalan leader


Spain's Supreme Court on Tuesday closed a "terrorism" investigation into Catalan separatist leader Carles Puigdemont, who has been living in exile since the failed 2017 secession attempt.

Puigdemont, who aims to benefit from a contentious amnesty law, still faces charges of embezzlement and a disobedience probe related to the secession bid.
