Lawmaker Commissions New Classroom Blocks in Anambra Community
Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Udeogalanya Aniekwe (Macpee) has commissioned a six-classroom block at Ezi-Anam Central School, Umudora Anam in Anambra West Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Speaking during the event, the lawmaker said the school had historically played pivotal role in the educational development of several residents in the area.
He however regretted that the school had suffered infrastructural decay and vandalism over the years.
“Any nation that desires to progress and compete favorably well with the rest of the world must invest hugely in the education sector.
“The newly structured classrooms well equipped are part of my commitment to revitalize the school’s legacy and reaffirmation that education remains the cornerstone of a progressive society,” he stressed.
Underscoring the importance of education to his constituents, Aniekwe pledged continued prioritizing of education by giving it the attention it needed to uplift its quality in the constituency.
“I will continue to provide more infrastructural projects across the federal constituency to address the deficit being witnessed,” he stated.
The lawmaker urged the management of the school to put the structure to effective use in line with the purpose of the project.
Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial zone, Dr Tony Nwoye while commissioning the project lauded the lawmaker for the infrastructural intervention to the school.
He also commended him for the credible representation he was providing for the people of Anambra East and West Federal Constituency.
The event was witnessed by certain prominent stakeholders in Anam and Anambra West, including, Hon. Patrick Udeoba (Ezego Anam) member representing Anambra West and Hon Tonycollins Nwabunwanne, State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters.
Also in attendance were Chief Charles Igbanugo Okafor (Akuatuegwu), Ezi Anam President General, Chief Clement Okonkwo (Agudo Anam), Labour Party, Anambra State Vice Chairman (North), among others.
