Stop Misinforming the Traders, Nnewi Local Government Mayor warms against Mischiefs

The Nnewi North Local Government Mayor Hon Echezona Anazodo has strongly refutes the baseless allegations of illegal levies and extortion in Agboedo United Market.
Anazodo stated this during an interview in his office at Nnewi North Local Government Headquarters.
The Mayor warm against Mischiefs saying it is only leading to misinformation. The Mayor advised the general public to stay away from those unverified claims that it is politically motivated aiming at undermining the progressive reforms of the Nnewi North Local Government.
Anazodo categorically denies the allegations and assures the public that all levies and fees will be lawful, transparent, and in the best interest of market development.
The Mayor said No ₦1.6 Billion Levy Exists anywhere and that the claim that traders are being forced to pay ₦4.5 million per shop, is entirely false. He said his administration has not issues such directive.
The Mayor also countered the allegation that traders are being harassed or threatened with eviction . He said Nnewi North Local Government remains committed to protecting the rights and welfare of all business owners in Agboedo Market.
Hon Anazodo also made it clear that his administration operates an open-door policy. Traders with genuine concerns are encouraged to seek clarification directly from him rather than relying on misinformation.
He said that the timing of these allegations suggests a deliberate attempt by opposition elements to disrupt the peace and tarnish the reputation of the Local Government developmental efforts.
The Nnewi North Mayor urged the media and the public to verify facts before circulating unsubstantiated claims. He advised traders to disregard sensationalized reports and instead engage directly with the accurate information from the Local Government.
Hon. Anazodo declare that his administration is committed to good governance, accountability, and the economic empowerment of Nnewi residents. He calls on all stakeholders to support these efforts rather than succumb to divisive propaganda.
