IPPA celebrates both the living and the dead people in Igboukwu

On 2nd August 2025 at Umudege Hall Igboukwu, Anambra state, the people of Igboukwu, friends, and well wishers came out in mass to witness the first event in the history, Igbo-ukwu Prounion Prestige Award for honouring people that have contributed to the growth of the town and also contributed to human capital development.
Igbo-ukwu Prounion Prestige Award was organized to celebrate both the living and the dead people who have helped in shaping the town, community, unions etc.
In ages, people like Prof. Nwosu, Ikechi Eze, Eric Nwobi, Kanu etc are among the people who stood strong for the Igboukwu people and motivated the recent great men and women to invest financially in the community and also invest into human development which gave birth to IPPA to graciously honoured them for their selfless services to the town.
Those among the top Igbo-ukwu Prounion Prestige Awardees includes
1. Hrh Igwe A.E. Azike (Grand Commander of Peace & Progress)
2. Chief A.B. Ezenwanne (Community Development Icon)
3. Chief A.O Umeh (Community Development Icon)
4. Chief Emma Azike (Community Development Icon)
5. Late Chief Charles Okeke (Human Capital Development Icon)
