Arnold, founder of Africa Arise International, an organisation advocating against the persecution of Christians in sub-Saharan Africa, made the challenge in a post on his X handle on Friday.

Former Mayor of Blanco, Texas, USA, Mike Arnold, has called out the Sultan of Sokoto and Chairman of the Northern Traditional Rulers Council, Sa’ad Abubakar III, over his recent remarks dismissing allegations of genocide against Christians in northern Nigeria.
Arnold, founder of Africa Arise International, an organisation advocating against the persecution of Christians in sub-Saharan Africa, made the challenge in a post on his X handle on Friday.
He was reacting to remarks by the Sultan during the General Assembly of the Northern Traditional Rulers’ Council held in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, on Tuesday, where the monarch said reports of Christian genocide were false and aimed at causing division among Nigerians.
The Sultan had stated that Christians and Muslims have coexisted peacefully in the North for centuries, describing allegations of religious killings as misleading and divisive.
Responding, Arnold accused the Sultan of being complicit in violence against Christians and called on him to prove his innocence regarding the alleged killings.
In his post, the ex-mayor alleged that the religious leader had links to extremist groups and bore responsibility for the ongoing persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
