The Ministry clarified that Pastor William Kumuyi never addressed any press conference or made such comments in Lagos.
Pastor William Kumuyi has distanced himself from a report claiming there is no Christian Genocide in Nigeria.
Reacting to the report, the Deeper Christian Life Ministry strongly dismissed the report published by an anonymous online platform identified as “Ibomfocus.”
The ministry described the report as malicious, fabricated, and completely false.
The report, titled America Is Trying To Steal Our Natural Resources; There Is No Christian Genocide In Nigeria, Says Pastor Kumuyi, was dismissed by the church as a “total invention and a product of the authors’ imagination.”
In a statement released on Monday, the Ministry clarified that Pastor William Kumuyi never addressed any press conference or made such comments in Lagos, noting that he has been out of the country for some time, conducting gospel programmes in the Oceania region and the Far East.
The statement further emphasized that Pastor Kumuyi remains committed solely to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and does not involve himself in political matters, contrary to the false narrative circulated online.
The Ministry warned those attempting to drag its General Superintendent into political controversies or spreading falsehoods in his name to desist immediately, adding that future infractions may attract decisive action.
