The incident occurred on Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State, when a Lexus SUV conveying the renowned boxer collided with a stationary truck.

Joshua, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained injuries and was rushed to hospital for medical attention.

Akinbiyi said Joshua and the driver were rescued from the wreckage and taken to a hospital in Sagamu for medical treatment.

He added that Joshua was later confirmed to be in a stable condition.

“The two other passengers, Mr Sina Ghami and Mr Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele, were pronounced de@d at the scene,”

“Our deepest condolences and prayers are with the families and friends of all those affected, and we ask that their privacy is respected at this incredibly difficult time,”
