No Room for Mischief: Prof. Orogbu’s Achievements Speak Louder Than Political Attacks

Hi Dear, thanks for visiting! Like our FB Page or Follow Us Twitter for Regular News Updates!
_Response to Ikechukwu Augustine Obah_

This response is offered not out of defensiveness, but out of duty to uphold the truth and ensure that the people of Awka North and South Federal Constituency receive facts rather than distortions.

To begin with, you stated that "over N152 billion has been paid to contractors who have satisfactorily executed their jobs as outlined in the 2024 and 2025 Appropriation Acts." However, this is inaccurate. The Ministry of Finance’s release referenced only unpaid debts for projects completed in 2024. Moreover, while the Presidency announced N1 billion for constituency projects in 2025, what was actually gazetted was only 30% of that sum (N300 million). Payments have not yet been rolled out to contractors, so execution has not commenced. The Appropriation Act is a public document, yet you chose to misinform the public.

Furthermore, you claimed that Awka North and South have cumulatively received over N2 billion in allocations under the 10th Assembly. Yet again, this is misleading. Allocations do not equal disbursement. Until funds are released and contractors mobilized, no constituency can claim to have “received” such sums. Prof. Orogbu clarified this in her recent live stream, which you ignored. When the funds are eventually disbursed, Awka North and South will witness unprecedented development projects already lined up for execution.

In addition, you described Prof. Orogbu as "naive" and "scratching the surface." This is a baseless insult. Beyond her legislative duties, she has actively attracted infrastructural and human capital development projects to Awka North and South. Indeed, the constituency has never had it this good in its history. Compare her record with her colleagues from Anambra, and her achievements stand out clearly.

Mr. Obah, your past role as personal assistant to Hon. Chinedu Onwuaso, Prof. Orogbu’s predecessor, is well known. Your frustration at not benefiting from his office does not justify weaponizing commentary against Prof. Orogbu. We are aware of your attempts to reach out to her after she was sworn in, and when ignored, you resorted to publishing falsehoods. Prof. Orogbu is not a cash cow, nor is she the cause of your personal grievances.

Finally, if your aim is to secure relevance by attaching yourself to a politician who may contest against her in 2027, let it be clear: Prof. Orogbu is not and will never be a means to that end. Attacking her for attention or patronage is shameful and disqualifies you from being called a commentator, analyst, or strategist. Commentary should enlighten, not diminish; analysis should clarify, not distort; strategy should build, not tear down.

Ndi Awka North and South deserve better than recycled narratives and veiled attacks. Prof. Orogbu’s record speaks for itself, and no amount of mischief or misinformation will erase the tangible progress she has brought to her constituency.
