During an interaction in Orumba Political Forum, a former deputy chairman of Orumba North Local Government Area, Hon Ikenna Ekwueme raised a pertinent issue concerning our dilapidated health centers in Orumba North. I decided to talk about it and tell our people what I can do to fix them if you send me to the house because Hon Ikenna Ekwueme directed the question to me.
Hon Ikenna Ekwueme specifically asked me thus *Obiora what are your plans for the dilapidated health centers in Orumba North when you get into the State House of Assembly* In reaction to this question, I have the following as panecia to remedying the problem of our dilapidated health centers:
First and foremost may I refer you to my manifesto as dished out on 23rd March, 2026 and particularly under the sub heading *Pillars and Commitment* under paragraph 2 Strong Representation. It is posited therein that I will be clear, consistent voice of Orumba North in the House of Assembly. I will maintain regular engagements, quarterly town hall meeting, monthly constituency updates. In doing that I will articulate public opinions, raise local concerns and ensure diverse interests are reflected in government decisions.
What this means is that during these town hall meetings I will get to know primary health centres that are dilapidated and engage relevant government agencies in charge of primary health centres to come to the aid of the situation.
Again under paragraph 4 in the said manifesto you will see Budget Stewardship.
Under budget stewardship, I will during budget defence ensure that dilapidated primary health centres in Orumba North is included in the budget and the only way to do that is to lobby the relevant government agencies in charge to ensure that I am in the same page with them to ensure smooth sail of the execution of the project.
Eventually when the contract is awarded I will through the instrumentality of Oversight ensure that the project is executed to specifications.
It is important to note that all the primary health centres in Orumba North will not be worked upon the same time but with consistency and focus we shall cover up the space.
I will equally engage the Local Government to see the need to invest in health sector because health is wealth.
Thank you Hon Ikenna Ekwueme as I believe I have done Justice to your question.
Chief Hon. Barr. Uchenna Obiora
(IKEOHA OKWAEZE)
Aspirant House of Assembly. Orumba North Constituency.
