How Boko Haram reportedly k!lls another senior colonel in overnight ambush

 Boko Haram insurgents have reportedly struck a military outpost and k!lled at least 22 members of the Nigerian Army, Peoples Gazette exclusively reports.



The overnight attack in Monguno, Borno, came as the military prepared a renewed offensive against the terrorists, who have recently inflicted severe injuries on the Nigerian operation.


The affected colonel, I.A. Muhammad, and his men were attached to the 242 Battalion in Borno.


Mr Muhammad was the latest among at least six senior officers k!lled by Boko Haram elements recently.


President Bola Tinubu has vowed to intensify his response to the violence, which began in 2009.
