Army Joins Forces in Abia and Anambra to Tackle Security Threats

The Nigerian Army is bringing two brigades in Abia and Anambra together to improve security in the two states.
The 14 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Ohafia, Abia State, and the 15 Brigade in Awka, Anambra State, have established a new operational partnership to share intelligence, improve border security, and address rising security challenges across both states.
The collaboration was announced following a courtesy visit by the Commander of the 15 Brigade, Brigadier General S. Ahmadu, to the Commander of the 14 Brigade, Brigadier General A.M. Dikko, at the Brigade Headquarters in Ohafia.
Brigadier General Ahmadu noted that the visit aimed to strengthen ties between the neighboring formations and build joint strategies, particularly around border control and intelligence sharing.
He also commended the 14 Brigade for its ongoing efforts to maintain security in the South East.
In response, Brigadier General Dikko welcomed the initiative as strategic, stating that close cooperation between neighboring brigades is essential for stopping criminal activity in the region.
He also reiterated his commitment to the operational vision of the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, in maintaining a combat-ready force.
