A disturbing incident in Abia State has left residents shocked after a family dispute reportedly turned into a dangerous scene.
The Nigeria Police Force detained a guy after he hurled his two children from a three-story building while attempting to toss his wife at Umuobe, near Barracks Junction on Opobo Road in Obingwa LGA, Abia State.
The event generated concern among residents after the man was found lying unconscious but still breathing in front of his house, with an injured skull.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke with Magic FM Aba, the guy flung his two children from the top story and attempted to throw his wife before falling from the building himself.
The two kids were sent to a hospital right away to receive medical care. Although information about the children's health was not immediately accessible, Magic FM Aba subsequently independently verified that both toddlers survived the fall.
At approximately 6:22 p.m., police officers arrived at the compound to investigate, secure the area, and begin their investigation after authorities were notified as people gathered at the scene.
The individual resisted attempts to be brought into custody and was carried away by the police at approximately 6:32 p.m.
Eventually, he was removed from the site while police worked to restore order and investigate the incident's causes.
