A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, Dino Melaye, has suggested that President Bola Tinubu presents a peculiar case of educational qualifications.
In a post on social media on Friday, Melaye sarcastically mocked the President, saying he is the only person in the world to possess maximum qualification without minimum qualification
Melaye's remark appears connected to Tinubu's inability to provide his primary and secondary school certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission in the educational qualifications section of his personal particulars submitted for the 2027 presidential election.
Although the President provided his university educational qualifications, the missing lower-level certificates have triggered reactions across Nigeria.
Some Nigerians argue that Tinubu's failure to submit his primary and secondary school certificates disqualifies him from the presidency.
Calls have been made for him to resign and withdraw from the 2027 general elections.
However, Melaye employed satire in his criticism, suggesting that Tinubu possessed such extraordinary intelligence that he managed to attend university without completing primary and secondary education.
Melaye stated that Tinubu is a person of particular interest universally, describing him as someone uniquely positioned to have attained the highest educational level while lacking the foundational qualifications that typically precede university education.
