| JAMB Gives Candidates Easy Steps to Reset Password and Change Email |
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has outlined official guidelines for candidates who need to reset their portal passwords or update their profile email addresses.
Candidates who forget their profile password can easily reset it using their registered phone number by texting "PASSWORD" followed by a space and their registered email address to either 55019 or 66019.
However, candidates cannot change their registered email address directly on the JAMB portal.
Anyone wishing to make an email change must physically visit an official JAMB office or an accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre, provide their registration details along with the new active email address, and have authorized personnel process the request.
JAMB reminded candidates that all provided email addresses must be active and accessible to receive critical exam and admission updates.
The board also noted that profile updates and correction-of-data services at accredited centers may require physical identity verification and attract prescribed official fees.
