Osimhen to Return to Football Next Month After Injury

Victor Osimhen could be back on the pitch next month after spending weeks recovering from a muscle injury.
Nigerian footballer Victor Osimhen is expected to play again for his Turkish club Galatasaray on October 9.
He has been injured and has not played for about two weeks.
Osimhen got hurt on September 4 during a match against BaÅŸakÅŸehir.
Since then he has missed three games.
His muscle injury has taken longer to heal than the team expected.
Nigeria called Osimhen to play in two important football matches for the national team next month.
These are qualifying games for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in 2027.
But Osimhen had to pull out of the Nigeria squad because his injury was not healing as fast as everyone thought it would.
Before the injury, Osimhen was playing very well.
In his first four games this season, he scored six goals and helped set up two more goals for his teammates.
Because Osimhen cannot play for Nigeria, another striker named Taiwo Awoniyi from Coventry City will take his place in the squad.
Nigeria also has other attacking players like Tolu Arokodare, Akor Adams and Rafiu Durosinmi who can play in the matches.
