Omotola Jalade says she wouldn’t sacrifice career for motherhood

Actress Omotola Jalade has made it clear that giving up her career for her children was never something she considered, even when they were growing up.
The actress said one of her children once asked if there was a time she thought about walking away from her career for their sake.
Her response made it clear that, while her children are important to her, giving up her career was never something she planned to do.
She recalled a conversation with one of her children, who once asked her :
“There was a time one of my kids asked me ‘Mom, was there anytime you thought about leaving your career for us?”.
And then I answered :
“I was never going to leave my career for you’. And that’s the truth. You can’t ask me to choose anything over my career. I can’t choose anything over my career”.
Omotola has been married to Captain Matthew Ekeinde since 1996, and they have four children together. Their children are now grown, with the actress balancing her family life with her long standing career in the entertainment industry.
