Husband and father-in-law brand woman on the face & genitals over phone call

 A woman was horrifically branded with hot tongs by her husband and father-in-law after she was suspected of having an affair.

Jhamku, 22, was brutally burned all over her body all because she answered the phone to an unknown caller, Times of India reports.

After overhearing the conversation, her husband of two years Bhagga Gameti and his father Lehri Lal, are alleged to have taken the phone and spoken to the caller.

Failing to identify him, the men suspected Jhamku of having an affair and launched a brutal attack, beating her with sticks and then burning her legs, face, chest and genitals with hot tongs.
Bhagga was arrested on Wednesday evening by police in Udaipur, India.

Om Kumar, the police officer handling the case, said:

"We have arrested the husband and will arrest the other accused if he too is found guilty during the course of investigation."
