Police Officer Arrested After He Was Filmed Assaulting Uber Driver

The police officer was seen assaulting and dragging the Uber driver out of his car.
A police inspector has been arrested after he was filmed assaulting an Uber driver.
A video of the incident has since gone viral.
The video showed the offending officer leaning into the car from the passenger's seat while hitting the Uber driver multiple times.
"Are you mad?" the officer asked the driver repeatedly as he slapped him.
The police officer then dragged him out of the car toward a police van where other police officers joined to harrass him.
The videos parked outrage and the police has now responded.
The Lagos State Police Command PRO, Benjamin Hundeyin, said one of the officers involved has been identified as Obic Modestus and he has been summoned.
Hundeyin wrote: "The Police Officer, Inspector Obic Modestus, has been summoned by the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) @LagosPoliceNG. He will be handed over to the Provost Department for appropriate disciplinary measures.
“The Lagos State Police Command, under CP Olohundare Jimoh, will not condone any form of incivility to members of the public.”
