Bolaji Abdullahi, ADC interim National Publicity Secretary, said it’s focused on building a strong political party.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has stated that it is too early to determine who will emerge as the party’s presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.
Bolaji Abdullahi, ADC interim National Publicity Secretary, said it’s focused on building a strong political party.
Speaking in Abuja on Saturday, Abdullahi said the ADC has no preferred presidential candidate.
He said:
“We don’t have any favourite aspirants or candidates. We are not having any conversation at the moment.
“Nobody has ever had any conversation about who will be the party’s flag bearer.
“We believe that it is too early in the day. Our focus now is to build a political party that is strong enough to deliver on the mission that we have set for ourselves.”
Currently, three names are rumoured to be interested in ADC’s presidential ticket.
These names include former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi, and former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi.
Despite permutations, the three key members of the coalition are yet to openly declare their intentions.
