Nigeria’s inflation rate has declined for the seventh straight month, falling to 16.05 percent in October 2025 from 18.02 percent recorded in September.

According to the CPI data, the country’s inflation rate declined by 0.93 percent, month-on-month.
The report showed that the food inflation decline rate was -0.37 percent on a month-on-month basis.
“In October 2025, the headline inflation rate eased to 16.05 percent relative to the September 2025 headline inflation rate of 18.02 percent. The headline inflation rate was 0.93 percent MoM.
“The food inflation rate was -0.37 percent MoM,” NBS wrote on X on Monday.
Recall that analysts had predicted a further moderation in the country’s inflation rate in October.
