Relatives say the abductors are demanding N3 million and have threatened to kill him and dump his body by the roadside if the ransom isn’t paid.
The family of Tartenger Terdue James, a man from Benue, is in a state of panic after he was abducted by suspected kidnappers just five days before his wedding.
It was gathered that James was kidnapped on Tuesday evening, December 9, 2025 while travelling to Cross River State to buy palm oil for his traditional marriage which is scheduled for Saturday, December 13 in Gwer West Local Government Area of Benue State.
Relatives say the abductors are demanding N3 million and have threatened to kill him and dump his body by the roadside if the ransom isn’t paid.
One Charles Ayuwa, confirmed the incident in a Facebook post on Thursday.
"My brother Hon. Tartenger Terdue James, it's been two days already since you were kidnapped.
"My prayers are with you. May God protect you in the hands of your captors and further hasten your release ahead of your wedding this Saturday. Amen," he wrote.
