 Former WWE star Alberto del Rio has been detained by authorities in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, following allegations of d0mestic vi0lence. The detainment comes after a complaint was reportedly filed by his wife, who accused him of physically assaulting her.

Del Rio, whose real name is José Alberto Rodríguez, rose to prominence in WWE after signing with the company in 2009.

He achieved historic milestones in 2011, becoming the first Mexican wrestler to hold both the WWE Championship and the World Heavyweight Championship. That same year, he also won the Royal Rumble and the Money in the Bank ladder match, becoming the first wrestler to accomplish both in a single year.

This incident represents a significant development in the personal life of del Rio, whose career has been marked by both in-ring success and previous controversies outside the ring.
