Reacting to the election, Isaac Fayose alleged that 28 people were k!lled in election-related violence, claiming that the victims lost their lives because they stood with Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Fayose described the deceased as heroes who paid the ultimate price for their political choice and urged that their deaths should not be swept under the carpet.
In a post on his page, Fayose said:
“As we celebrate this victory, we must also remember those who lost their lives and the families who are currently mourning”.
He called for justice for the victims and urged that a petition be submitted to the International Criminal Court against those responsible for the k!llings.
Fayose also announced a ₦5 million donation to the bereaved families and appealed to the Osun State Government to provide additional support.
“I will be donating ₦5 million to the families, and I call on the state government to support them too”, he said.
