Peller has explained that the tears he shed during his wedding were not because he was overwhelmed with emotion.

According to him, the moment was something he did mainly to make his wife’s family happy, especially because they had initially been against the couple living together.
Peller said his wife, Jarvis, asked him to shed tears during the ceremony. He explained that he went along with it because he wanted to respect her wishes and make things easier with her family.
In a post he shared, Peller said:
“It’s my wife that asked me to shed those fake tears; there was nothing emotional about my wedding. I just did it to please her family cause they were not in support of us living together”.
His explanation gives a different account of what was happening behind the emotional-looking moment at the wedding. Rather than the tears being a spontaneous reaction to the occasion, Peller says they were intentional and meant to satisfy his wife and her family.
He also pointed out that her family had concerns about the couple living together before the wedding. Because of that, he felt it was important to play along with what they expected during the ceremony.
For Peller, the tears were therefore less about his own emotions and more about keeping the peace with his wife’s family. He said he simply wanted to please them and avoid making an already sensitive situation more difficult.
Rather than allowing that disagreement to affect the wedding, he chose to follow Jarvis’ request and put on the emotional display.
