Adesanya faces backlash for attending Iyabo Ojo’s grandson’s birthday

Actress Omotoyosi Adesanya has cried out over the online backlash she received after attending the birthday celebration of Priscilla Ojo’s son on Saturday, just days after the de.ath of her late boss, veteran actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo.
Some Nigerians accused the actress of not mourning Ogogo properly, questioning how she could attend a birthday celebration so soon after his death.
However, Adesanya has explained that her decision to attend the celebration does not mean she has forgotten her late boss or does not respect his memory. She described Ogogo as someone very dear to her and said her respect for him remains even after his death.
In a post she shared, she said:
“So some Nigerians have been calling me a hypocrite for attending Actress Iyabo Ojo's grandson's birthday on Saturday. They claimed l didn’t mourn my late Boss Actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo properly.
“Point of correction, my late Boss was a very dear person to me while he was alive and even after his demise l still respect and honour him. Alhaji Ogogo didn’t die prematurely if we truly want to be sincere with each other
“He d!ed at almost 67yrs, and he was well loved. If he were to be a Christian am so sure we wouldn’t have buried him quickly.
“We would still be celebrating him everyday infact we would have gotten him a glass coffin, but we all know he was a Muslim, and we needed to act in accordance. So I am not really moved by what some set of people are saying”.
She stated that attending a birthday celebration does not take away from the love and respect she had for Ogogo while he was alive or the honour she continues to give him after his passing.
