Anambra First Lady Nonye Soludo has reacted to Peter Obi’s recent comment about their families.
Anambra State First Lady, Dr. Nonye Soludo, has debunked claims by former governor Peter Obi that he is a godfather to any of her children.
Obi had stated at the Nigerian Guild of Editors conference in Enugu that he and his wife were godparents to Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s children to show that no personal rift exists between them.
In a statement released by her media assistant, Dan Ezeigwe, Mrs. Soludo noted that Obi likely misspoke.
She clarified that while the families maintain a cordial relationship, neither Obi nor Governor Soludo serves as a godparent to the other's children.
Instead, Mrs. Soludo is the confirmation godmother to Obi’s daughter, while Obi’s wife, Margaret, is the baptismal godmother to one of the Soludos’ daughters.
